Dr. Satterfield started practice in 1980 after graduating from The University of Texas Dental School in Houston in 1979. The doctor’s original office was on south Grogan’s Mill Road across the street from Amerigo’s Restaurant until he moved to their present office in September of 1998.
Dr. Satterfield’s hometown is Port Arthur, Texas; he served for 4 years in the U. S. Navy aboard two destroyer escorts and saw service as a Machinist’s Mate aboard the 1st one in the war zone in the Tonkin Gulf off Vietnam.
After the Navy, he attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. His wife Michele works with Dr. Satterfield part time and they’ve lived in The Woodlands since 1979.
Dr. Satterfield’s Dental Affiliations:
16 years Associate Professor at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
15 years Director of Dental Services and volunteer dentist at the Interfaith Community Clinic in The Woodlands.
Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (1700+ hours of hands-on participation continuing education in every discipline of dentistry).
Graduate of the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
